Strandhold — Privacy Policy

Strandhold is a game by Inside Out Play Inc. ("we"). This policy says what the game collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

When you play, the game sends anonymous gameplay statistics to Unity Analytics, a service run by Unity Technologies that we use to understand how the game is played: when a game starts and ends, the board and number of players, whether a share was sent, and purchase events. With these, Unity receives a random ID created for this install of the game (not your name, your Google account or your phone's advertising ID), basic device and performance information (such as model, operating system and crashes), and your approximate location derived from your IP address. Unity stores this data in the European Union and deletes raw events after 13 months.

What we do not collect

No account, name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location or advertising ID. The game has no ads.

Your age

On Android, the game may ask Google Play for an age range, as some laws require. It uses the answer only while the game is open: to switch off analytics for a player under 13, and to honour a parent's approvals. It is never stored or sent anywhere.

News

The game downloads a news file from strandhold.com. It sends nothing about you; our web host keeps standard access logs (which include IP addresses) for a short time.

Sharing

When you share a picture of a finished knot, it goes only where you send it, through your phone's own share sheet. We never see it.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Google Play. We receive a record that a purchase happened, not your payment details.

Children

Strandhold is made for players aged 13 and over. If Google Play tells the game a player is under 13, analytics is switched off for them.

Your choices

In the game: Settings → Privacy → Delete my game data, which asks Unity to delete the statistics tied to this install. Or write to support@insideoutplayinc.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with its date.
